NLA goes digital.

/NLA goes digital.

Interesting article on Nelson Literary’s new “NLA Digital” platform. I definitely think we’ll be seeing more of these sorts of services–that is, literary agencies acting as facilitators for self-pubbed books–arising in the future.

What we now call hybrid is going to be the New Normal for professional authors in five, ten years’ time. Nelson is a little ahead of the curve on that front but, hey. It’s not exactly that I’m going to complain my agency is offering me more options for future books, now am I?

(Particularly given, just as an aside, that in some respects I think my writing style is more “suited” to novellas than it is novels. And novella publishing is very much in the digital/selfpub realm right now.)
