Roizen is definitely accomplished, across multiple fields, and is brave for sharing her experiences (as women speaking up about these things always have to be). But I also think there’s a kind of… generation gap in the tone of her article, particularly towards the end where she begins hedging into “one of the boys”/”grow a thick skin”/”intent is magic” territory. Sort of an “I survived it so so can you” tiredness rather than the “this is bullshit and needs to stop” vibe more popular with younger women in her position.
That’s not blaming Roizen. But it is… an observation, I guess.
