The Google exec apparently thinks drones should be banned due to privacy issues. And while I don’t necessarily disagree on the face of it, let’s remember this is the guy who presides over such products as Google Earth and Google+, among other controversies.
Google makes profit off being the main seller of private data. That’s what the company’s business model is. Of course it wants to protect that by locking competitors out of the market.
(I still look forward to my self-driving car, though…)
